Our Sales Managers are the front-line leaders of Chope’s market growth through software sales and F&B merchant acquisition. They report directly to the Head of Sales, and have a pivotal role in leading, grooming, and shaping the Singapore Sales team. In addition to their leadership role, they might also need to generate leads, build partnerships with key actors in the F&B scene, follow up, and close sales opportunities for high-yield accounts. As part of nurturing strong account relations, the sales team will be key contact for their clients, and also undertake contractual and marketing-related account management. Like the team they lead, they will be expected to meet ambitious quarterly sales targets, and work closely with our marketing, account management, and operations teams to help our clients get the most out of the Chope platform, both operationally and marketing-wise.

Ideal candidates should have at least a two year’s experience in managing and motivating a sales team, as well as at least 2 to 3 years’ in B2B sales. Previous exposure to e-commerce and/or SaaS will definitely be an advantage. Candidates should have a keen understanding of performance metrics for sales people, and preferably be able to ‘lead from the front’, juggling both their own performance as well as that of their team.

About the role

  • Lead a team of sales individuals to acquire and develop sales opportunities through a combination of channels, including but not limited to, referrals, networking, cold calls, and face-to-face meetings
  • Consistently find ways to increase inbound and outbound lead generation through a combination of internal and external resources, to ultimately increase the overall sales team’s output
  • Diligently monitor sales team stakeholders’ performance and take part/follow up on key account and large-scale group acquisition
  • Impart consultative skills and hard sales skills within the team to ensure their ability to make purposeful recommendations to restaurant decision makers on our products and services while communicating the value of joining the Chope network
  • Build a lasting relationship with decision makers in the F&B industry (e.g. restaurants, associations, agencies, etc) to maintain the possibility of future sales or client referrals
  • Work closely with the Operations team’s leaders to facilitate successful product adoption by new clients
  • Enable team to upsell additional paid-services to existing clients
  • Manage the expectations, morale, and performance of their sales executives
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing sales team
  • Generate partnership opportunities that enables impactful client engagement, monetisation of our paid marketing offerings, and large-scale restaurant acquisition

Requirements

  • 3-4 years’ experience in B2B sales
  • Possesses a natural ability to network and build lasting business relationships
  • Understands the techniques of a consultative sell
  • Independent and result-driven mindset, with the ability to be productive and efficient with minimal or no supervision in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and conscientious
  • Resilient and methodical
  • Proven track record of exceeding set sales targets
  • Basic computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite of software

While not required, the following skills/experience will be favourably considered

  • Experience in the sale of restaurant reservations/table management systems such as ResPak etc., or in other food and beverage related SaaS products
